There is a Ritz Carlton approximately 10 minutes to the north, and a few options in between if the Omni can’t accommodate further bookings.
After seeing Scott’s message, I thought I should check my reservation. So I went to my confirmation email and clicked the “View/Modify Reservation” button. That page fails to load, and looking at the URL, it seems like it may actually be pointing to a staging version of the website. Perhaps they were updating to a new site at the time some of us made our bookings.
Anyway, If you go to this link, you can just enter your last name and confirmation number to check your reservation. Mine is correct.
I got an email from the FBO saying they are only open from 7-7. There is no self parking during migration and they say it is a $600 call fee.
Thanks, @hanstb! I saw the Ritz option, but considering that I need multiple rooms, I could not justify nearly $1k per night (per room) to be 10 minutes away from the action.
I think the Omni may very well have / had some technical issues with their reservations system. After my “failed” attempt at booking for Migration on Saturday, I now keep getting daily emails from them like this (but when I click on the link it now tells me the dates are not available
):
Yikes. Don’t be late!!!
I just cancelled Migration. First one I will have missed in a long time..
If additional rooms do become available, we will be sure to let everyone know. But again, as of this time, Saturday night is still sold out at Omni.

Sadly, it sounds like we may have to do the same and cancel Migration. ![]()
Unfortunately, I did not contemplate the downside of being beholden to a single resort hotel for the event (despite the note on their website saying we had until tomorrow to book).
Obviously, some communication to advise that they were “nearing capacity” at the hotel would have been nice…
Sorry to miss you.
Dang it. I was bringing a cigar for you.
Going Mincher class
We could Glackin it and stay at the Fairfield (said no Glackin ever…)! Ritz or bust… charge it to the Glackin account! Only $3k per night you say? What a bargain… be sure to add a few extra dollars for yourself. ![]()
Hope we can both make it this year, amigo! Certainly due for some vegan eats!
Not exactly the most efficient solution, but I FINALLY scored 2 rooms at the Omni for our family from 10/9 until 10/13, so we WILL be able to come to Migration 2025!
I ended up writing a script to relentlessly query the Omni reservations link and over the past 24 hours was able to piecemeal 4 separate reservations to cover the period we needed (including the ‘coveted’ Saturday night, 10/11), and was then able to contact a VERY HELPFUL “Jake” in their reservations center who just consolidated everything together (and got us guaranteed connecting rooms!). Wow, that was a lot of work for hotel reservations, but we look forward to seeing our fellow COPAN’s there. Hope that this encourages others to be persistent as well.
Nice! Can you now please send the script to Scott! ![]()

In all seriousness, the Omni link is actually showing availability right now, so @Spholder probably wants to jump on this ASAP (or keep checking throughout today):
This is certainly more anxiety-provoking than trying to score Taylor Swift tickets!
Dang it. I was bringing a cigar for you.
Fear not grasshopper…
Yesh, I received confirmation for all the nights. But, I already cancelled and accepted a ferry flight instead. Bummer the hotel was such a mess…
Really a bummer as I was going to spend most of Migration hanging out with you and telling you all about my Bahamas trip that week ![]()
I am not happy. At least I will get some CJ time…
