I will let @jseckler or @EdWatters elaborate on the partner in command curriculum, but as far as selling it, it’s free at Migration this year, register your spouse for the class and if not 100% satisfied, I will personally refund the full purchase price .
It is a busy airport (and my home airport), but whether VFR or IFR on a visual the worst you’re likely to get is a “left/right 360 for spacing” or a “Tower will call base”. With the “tower will call base” when headed north (to runway 21) don’t be afraid to cry uncle if they have you heading into the mountains to the north east (McDowell Mountains) too long…
I did a tower tour a couple years ago and one of the senior controllers told me “there are no mountain our class D airspace”. If you look at the sectional it is arguable (ForeFlight shows me some 2600-3300 ft terrain in the Class D, where TPA is 2500)
But with this thread going, I decided to look over my “e-ticket” and see if my full event and owner maintenance add-on showed up, and it did. However, nowhere do I see my wife’s. I bought a spousal $350 social event ticket and don’t see it. Is it sent to her email vs. mine?
July 24th to be precise, you’re good to go Scott (one full event ticket), if you need a copy please let me know, but it won’t be necessary to have a printed ticket.
Once again, the Backstage App just wants me to buy a ticket, makes no acknowledgment I already have a ticket, etc. This is getting really tiresome. If you all have me down as having purchased a Migration ticket, I’ll just find someone to check in with on Thursday. Deleting the app.
I’m having the same experience as Andrew. I have the email confirming the appropriate tickets were purchased, and I’m assuming someone onsite will be able to sort it out.
