Looks to me like knock off of (Cameron) Mitchell’s Ocean Club and other restaurants. Not at all implying that it isn’t good, but a curious similarity in names, concept, franchise…
Can anyone clarify on the brand/fit of shirts we’re getting this year? Do they run large, small, or true to size?
I know in Nashville I ordered a Large, which I usually buy in T-shirts and golf/polos. Yet, when I tried it on, it felt like a muumuu on me.
Mastros has 3 restaurants in the Phoenix area; Ocean Club is next to the Westin. After they sold their Mastros, the original family opened Dominicks across the street (their old menu mostly, and a gorgeous room. They have since opened Steak 44 (on 44th street) and then Ocean 44 in old town. They’re all wonderful!
The Kierland complex is a restaurant paradise: Ocean Club, Zinc (fantastic bistro), Greene House, Mission Mexican, North Italia, as well as the usual chains. Across the street in Scottsdale quarter there’s Eddie V’s, Dominicks, Sol, and a bunch of casual spots. Roka Akor is a 10 minute Uber and amazing for sushi. Further away Old Town offers Maple and Ash (awesome!) and Toca Madera - my personal, biased favorite.
So do we have to print the ‘tickets’ out for Migration, or are they virtual, or will they be provided to us when we show up?
Just seems a little confusing, want to be prepared. Apologize if a mass instructional email/notification is in the works.
Thanks
Dustin, no need to print the tickets, did you not receive your 3 tickets via email?
I just PM’d you a copy of your tickets in the event they were not received.
Hans, I just looked at my digital tickets and it only shows my Full Event ticket along with the Engine Management class. No spousal ticket, even though the spouse ticket shows on my receipt.
You should receive Nicole’s event tickets in your inbox in 3, 2, 1…
I just realized her email is on file for those tickets, that is why you did not receive them, I sent you all 4 tickets via PM for your convenience.
I have the opposite problem. I have PapaLima’s spousal ticket but no link to my full-event ticket. (Her ticket came to my email.)
[Edit - never mind - I was able to do it by reservation ID #. I never did get an email for mine, though. What threw me was that apparently they are both accessible on the same web page but you do not see the left and right arrows to scroll through the multiple tickets unless your mouse pointer is over the ticket, so it looked like there was only one ticket on that page. Bad UI.]
Oh yeah! Duh! Sorry, I forgot I had put in her email too.
Thanks!
No worries, looking forward to meeting you in Scottsdale, that goes for everyone, it’s going to be a terrific event!
Gordon-
Please check your PM’s.
What do we have, if anything, to help “sell” partner in command to spouses? Pics? Agenda? What will be learned?
Oh and sorry. Remind me. Spouses join gala for free? Extra dinner tix needed for gala?
Check this post out:
Gala Tickets are needed…No free Lunch (Dinner)
Reminds me Erik, ‘the board’ (or Foundation) might think about putting resources into a video promoting PIC. The CPPP one that was done a couple of years ago now was really well done. Something similar targeted at non-pilot frequent flyers/partners would be good to have out there in the ethersphere.
Hans
I only have one ticket… paid full bore for Diane as well. Her email was included in the initial regi… she received Nada…
Thanks

One thing I would say Chris is that contrary to what Erik said…
No free Lunch
The PIC course at Migration appears to be going for the rock bottom price of FREE. There are a probably at least a few other threads out there with PIREPs on PIC that could help answer your question otherwise. My wife, for one, doesn’t love flying, but does appreciate the opportunities that the plane affords us and expressed that she was both glad she did PIC and that it made her feel more comfortable/prepared if we were to have a problem.
So long as your are register we will get you a badge at migration registration. No “tickets” are needed.
I only have one ticket.
Brad-
Please check your PM’s.
Got them… thx. Sent you a PM
