SW regional flyin accommodations

All,

With the SW regional fly in scheduled at Las Vegas this year (see COPA main page for more details) we all will have many interesting options for hotels, at least for those that are staying overnight. With 22 people signed up so far and I expect more as time goes on, we are going to need some planning. Personally, with an excuse to fly and stay in Vegas [:)] we will go in friday nite and leave sunday morning.

I talked it over with Walt and agreed to try to put together a block of rooms for our use. Advantages are 1) Lower rates, 2) we can all be at the same location, 3) we can set up meeting accommodations (dinner and meeting rooms). Of course there are so many options and I am sure some people may have a favorite place or can can find cheap rooms on Orbitz, priceline, whatever. But for those that don’t, this may be an attractive option.

We have a contact at a couple of the casinos there so what I need to know is HOW MANY PEOPLE THAT ARE ATTENDING WANT TO GET IN ON THIS BLOCK OF ROOMS. Please give me an idea in the next two weeks if your interested, how many rooms and how many nights so I can try to negotiate something.

If there is not a lot of interests, we can always not do this and if we do not get much interest we may not have enough business to interest them in a deal. But we are trying to make this a good event and if this is of interest to the attendees, I will give it a go.

Contact me either on this board, or email me at flycirrus@aol.com

All,

Still need more room nights to swing a good deal, anyone interested, just let me know. I have been dutifully logging the requests, so if you have replied no need to again.

Kathy and I would like to stay over night. We love the Bellagio Hotel but that is on the strip. Very close to Mc Carran with free shuttle service to the hotel. Not too far from North Las Vegas. Perhaps a COPA suite could be arranged?
Either way we will stay wherever all others agree to stay.

Rik

I am very partial to the Bellagio. I will probably stay there anyway.
