I am considering purchasing an SR-22 position. Does anyone have advice or suggestions about the contract process with Cirrus?

The process is really quite simple. Call Cirrus and they will put you in touch with the local representative in California who I believe is now Walt Conley. He will discuss the contract with you and ask for a deposit to confirm your intention.
Then you wait in line for your plane to be built and later in the process around 6 months before delivery they will ask for specific options, colors and other specifics.
I am position holder 453 and have not chosen any options yet as my delivery is still at least 8 months away.
You can also check the market place postings for positions being sold by the current holder. If you want it sooner you can find a seller.
