I am in the midst of selling my Sundowner to buy a Cirrus SR20. Can anyone tell me what the ground clearance is for the SR20 with the 2 blade and 3 blade configurations. Thanks
Al

At 3,000 lb. 2-blade 7", 3 blade 8"
The two bladed prop is slightly more efficient than the three. The initial cost is less and any maintinance costs are less. When I bought my SR20 I asked the salesman, “Igy”, what was the advantage of the three and he said, “Ramp appeal, and maybe a little quieter”. I bought the two. Since then I have found another advantage. When at a Cirrus flyin I can find mine parked among the masses more easily because almost everybody else has a three. When you have the humility of buying a 20 instead of the 22, your ego doesn’t require ramp appeal!

Weight is less, too…
