Thanks to the informative replies of several readers of this forum, I was able to get $3M in extra liability insurance through William J. Grohs Aviation 203-262-1552. I spoke with Alexis Lepore. It’s not cheap–$1955 per year–but for me at least it’s a good deal compared to the alternatives if something BAD happens.
