I had an email today from Mike Busch at Cirrus Design. Cirrus are shipping an engine to Hayward (at TCM’s expense) to be fitted to N142CD, but are also sending a Cirrus factory pilot and technician to assist in the engine swap, and conduct the test flying. They will perform compression tests and oil analysis at 5 and 10 hours, and if all is well, turn it over to Rob Leach.
This is a very encouraging response from Cirrus. It’s a clear demonstration that Cirrus Design are committed to customer service, and are dragging TCM (kicking and screaming, perhaps) with them.
