Some Questions on the Cirrus Production

Hi All,

As I said in my introduction, I’m generating a production history for Cirrus aircraft. I have very few gaps and I was hoping that some of you might be able to help me.

I have sent a mail to Angel Sarkella at Cirrus, but have not had a reply. I guess that this is understandable, they are a bit too busy building all those airplanes to respond.

If anyone knows of someone who works for Cirrus who I can contact, please let me know.

My first question is what is the history for SR20 constructors numbers 1003 and 1004. I can’t find anything on these two, are they static testing frames perhaps?

Next SR20 N24XT is shown as constructors number S039 by the FAA, is this an FAA error, or is there something special about it?

SR20 constructors number 1023 (N140CD) was modified to be the prototype SR22. Did Cirrus then change the constructors number to be SR22 0001, or is 0001 a different aircraft.

If SR22 0001 is a different aircraft, what is it’s identity please?

I hope that someone knows where I can get hold of this information, it would be nice to complete my records.

Regards,

Paul Rushton
