All credit goes to Ed–it turned out great! Also, really good idea to reserve a parking area for the Cirrus planes. Great photo ops, as is clear from Chris’ pictures.

Chris, I can only take credit for half of the sr20, the other half is Dave Flicks. There was a joke today about where is the wife and kids, I said I had to choose between a partner like Dave or the wife for the fly-in…“boy I miss the wife” Ha Ha…ED

Enjoyed the pctures, especially the two “firsts” side by side! What a shot! Thanks for sharing.

Chris,

thanks a lot for the pictures. Do you by any chance have some shots of the insides both leather and fabric? What about some pictures of those guys that have added some new gizmos? It would be interesting to see how creative people are to find new spots where to place additional instruments.
Maybe there’s somebody out there with some of those piccies.

Thanks again and cheers,

Placido

I saw the pics on this site and on Paul’s. I still cannot see an apprecaible difference between the SR20 & SR22. Other than paint, the only other distinguising mars seems to be the ‘step/fin/strake’ in front the the SR22’s wing.

Up close, are they easy to tell apart? Is there a discernable noise difference between the two?

Check out the difference in the exhaust stacks, and then of course there’s the paint scheme. Also, the '22 seems to sit noticeably higher. The interior is rather more refined too.

Also the landing lights, but that’s been discussed here before.

Marty…

I got together with Paul Traina and Kevin Moore last week at Avionics West. Since the wx was mariginal when I left SMO and I’m not IFR yet, I grabbed a CFII to take with me. His first comment as Paul rolled in

“Sure doesn’t sound like an SR20”

It sounds different that a 20 for sure. It also climbs like a bat out of hell. Also, in person the greater wingspan and slightly different footprint give it a different look. I won’t say better or worse just different. Not as drastic as say a 172 to a 182, but suffice to say all Cirrus-devotees will not have a problem developing their eye.

Trust me, you will not be disappointed. And if you are, well give me a call…
