Your Migration Committee has been hard at work making sure that COPA’s 16th Annual Migration will be an incredibly enjoyable experience starting from this point forward with our new Migration Website and Registration process! The traditional events you all have heard about or experienced like COPA Cabana and educational sessions will again not disappoint. Check out this years Migration at a Glance here: Click Here https://migration.cirruspilots.org/#agenda
This year’s Migration is being held at the incredible Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, NV (Las Vegas). Las Vegas and the Green Valley Ranch offers an extraordinary selection of dining, shopping and recreation options to enjoy before, during, and after COPA Migration.
Some Highlights (More can be found at the new migration website):
Social: Thursday Evening will begin with our usual COPA Cabana, a festive cocktail Party poolside where you can renew old friendships and make new ones.
Annual Meeting: Friday morning will start with our annual board meeting where you can come and hear the Board report on COPA’s operations and vote for board members. We then have several plenary presentations before breaking out in our typical sessions.
**Sessions: **We are bringing in a different set of educational speakers this year, many from recommendations from the membership. As usual there will be dual tracks on Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. You won’t want to miss out on these education filled sessions. Check out the list of speakers here: More to come and will announce as they are added.
Tradeshow: The Tradeshow just keeps getting better and better. Sold out for Three years in a row, we attract vendors of the latest and greatest Cirrus and general aviation gear and gadgets. And don’t forget to bring your shopping list for the Cirrus Store!
Spouses Program: For those wanting a break from the COPA immersion, we are offering an Exclusive tour of the Bellagio Fountains and a custom run show just for our group. The experience will start with lunch at Lago, the first Italian restaurant from James Beard Award winner Chef Julian Serrano featuring the modern concept of small plates.
VIP Room: And speaking of breaks, this year we are offering Attendees a VIP break room with light snacks and staffed by a Green Valley Ranch Las Vegas Specialist Concierge to assist you in any offsite excursions you may wish to partake in.
Saturday Banquet: This year’s banquet will feature an amazing dinner and presentation. Following our dinner, you won’t want to miss our special guest speaker, Brian Udell, who holds the record for surviving the highest speed ejection from a U.S. Fighter Aircraft at nearly 800 mph
Flying In: Exercise those Cirrus legs and fly your plane to Migration. Arrival and Departure procedures have been worked out for KHND (Henderson Executive Airport) and transportation to and from the Hotel will be provided.
Registration prices increase substantially later this summer, so please register early to get your discounted room. Please note that the Green Valley Ranch often sells out and while there may be availability at the neighboring Hotels and other Las Vegas locations, we cannot guaranty space or rates once our block is filled!
We look forward to seeing you at Migration. We hope you will find the entire experience a great one!
I just signed up along with my wife. I think I may be one of the first! The sure sign of a new Cirrus Owner who is much too enthusiastic (grin). See you all there! Chuck[Y]
Many, many thanks to the Migration team for getting M16 Registration open. Very special thanks to Erik Gundersen who labored hours and hours to develop the new website for us and was pretty much responsible for getting the site ready. And thanks to Kim Blonigen for lots of proofing and editing! It is volunteers like Erik and Kim that make COPA such a special place.
Really, really, really looking forward to this! I’m still debating whether I want to spend a bunch of days flying the SR22 to Vegas from NC, or just go commercial. If I was attending solo I think I’d be leaning towards the trek, but since the wife will be joining me, I’m leaning towards commercial.
Might it also make sense to list total number registered and total number displayed…, if they are different… i.e. count the number not wishing to be displayed just as a whole number so we can know how many are registered
CUT AND PASTE IT INTO YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE, YOUR INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT, YOUR TWITTER ACCOUNT AND YOUR WEBSITE. PLEASE POST IT ON EVERY FRIENDS PAGE TOO. WE WANT EVERYONE TO SHARE OUR PASSION.
To all of our aviation friends. Do you love airplanes? Is flying a passion for you? Are you a Cirrus Aircraft fan? Heck, give us a try. come join us for the party. We are ready to rock n’ roll again in Las Vegas. BTW, share this link. We’d love to see you all.
Is anyone planning to bring their kids to Migration?
I have two - son (will be 11 by Oct) and daughter (will be 6). I need to do something with them while there - can hire a nanny to take them to the pool etc. I was thinking that they could have more fun if there were other kids around.
The hotel that is hosting our event (Green Valley Ranch) is a beautiful one with multiple pools. A call to the hotel will provide the answers that you seek. Also, here is a link: https://www.kidsquest.com/location/greenvalleyranch/
Scott: Hi. My wife has already decided that she is taking over all the slots so maybe your wife can use them when she takes a break (grin). See you there! Chuck
Scott: Are we married to the same woman? I’ll have to check my marriage license (grin). It should be a lot of fun. I’m signed up for the maintenance program so I’ll see you there. Chuck
