Hi guys. I have a 2003 SR22 Centennial. I need the parachute re-packed. Unless, is it possible to go without re-packing ?
I don’t think you can go without repacking. I used Glendale Aero about 2 years ago. Quality was great, communication was 7.5/10, price was comparable to all other shops.
I don’t think there is a legal pathway to operating a Cirrus with an expired parachute.
It’s not possible. The every 10 year repack is necessary for continued airworthiness.
has this been grounded for the last 3 years? your chute should have been done 2023 and due next 2033
There are zero options to fly a cirrus with expired parachute other than a ferry permit to take it to a location to get it done.
About a 3 month lead time on parts
CAPS repacks are on a set 10-year cycle. Has this airframe been Out of Service since 2023? Otherwise your 2023 repack isn’t due until 2033.
Also, join COPA and go into the Forums. Massive participation there. Seriously
Best of luck.
I have just been flying the jet. Cirrus sits in the hangar. Thanks guys
