Walt Conley’s been busy with his digital camera again. There are http://www.sr20.org/pix/#tanksseveral new photos of the ferry tanks on the Pix page.

Lots of parts were apparently removed from N142CD–how are you getting them to Australia? Will this entail a great deal more waiting for you to put your bird back together?
Also, what is the estimated maximum takeoff weight when Robin departs the mainland for Hawaii?
And, I hesitate to ask, what is the fnal cost estimate for the ferry job: mods, equipment, fuel, pilot?
Thanks–Kevin

The seats and the copilot side trim are being freighted to Australia. They should arrive before the plane.

I don’t think so. We hope to be flying within a week to 10 days after it arrives here. We need to have a CofA inspection done and have the CofA and Australian registration issued.

Not sure, since I don’t know how much the removed seats etc. weigh, but it will certainly be well under the ferry approval of 3625lbs maximum. Probably around 3450lbs is my guess.

We paid up front for the whole shebang, I’m not sure I can give you exact figures, but with insurance it’s in the region of US$15,000.
