The ferry tanking of N142CD has not gone smoothly. Bill Marvel has sent another instalment - http://www.sr20.org/stories/n142cd-ferry.php3read it here.
Walt Conley couldn’t resist flying over from Monterey to have a stickybeak, and took a few http://www.sr20.org/pix/pictures with his (new?) digital camera.

We’re still anxiously watching
the situation here in California, and wish
you & Rob the best with the tanking (&
weather). If things get drawn out through
this weekend, you should grab a cheap
weekend airfare (if one exists) and
join us at the West-coast SR20 fly-in as
a guest of honor! You’re welcome to stay
in my home.

Hmm, 14 hours each way in a Jumbo for a weekend - I think I’ll pass on your generous offer this time!
Of course that would be easy compared to what lies ahead for Rob - the MRY-HNL leg will be about 14 hours by itself, with no getting up to wander the cabin, and no meals being served!
But at least he gets a good window seat! I figured out that’s what I like least about airline travel - you can’t see!
