Hull@1% $2200 +Liab$350 =PolicyPrewmium $2550;
have had a number of inquiries for Cirrus SR-20 and at present only a few insur firms underwrite policies, have ckd with all except AOPA/AVEMCO, barring any accident record or mishaps could expect $2550 to decrease by your 2002 delivery timing.

Can expect IFR rating & Hangar to decrease premium charges.

So that means that $2550 is without an IFR rating or hangar? If you don’t mind could you give a few more details – particularly what amount of liability (and type – smooth or w/ sublimits) and roughly how many hours you have for that quote?

Quoted rate @$2550 was standard Policy

Hull@1%=Premium

Liability $1MM total,
Limited @$100k/seat

My qualifications = 1200hrs

All SingleEngine VFR

Open Field or Hangar was NOT discussed.

I’m sure indiviudal qualifications and

unique circumstances would be evaluated

in terms of Risk assessment by the

insurnace company prior to quoting firm
premium pricing. In general however, the broker advised that IFR rating could decrease total premium by perhaps 5%; and hangar based storage would lower the carriers risk & result in another way to reduce the premium.
