JUST HAD A FUEL LEAK ONTO THE WHEEL PANTS THAT LEFT A BEAUTIFUL BLUE STAIN. ANYONE KNOW OF A MAGIC WAY TO REMOVE IT?
Richie: I just did a search on the Members Forum using “fuel stain” as the search term. This brought up about a dozen posts with some specific suggestions on removing the stain.
Use sme Avgas to remove the stain. If it is really dried on try some Orange GoJo hand cleaner. Be carefull and rub slowly.
Works Great.

Richie,
By far, the most important thing is to get it off as soon as possible. We had a leaky sump that stained the wheel pant the same way as yours. We didn’t know about it and the fuel sat on the pant for a couple of weeks while an occasional drip rewetted it. I tried all of the tricks in the book and never got rid of it. Even the Wing Waxers guy couldn’t make it go away, and he was sure he would be able to.
FWIW
Use fuel to remove the stain.
