Design help

My company is looking to design a dedicated GPS mounting systems for the Cirrus. I am interested in talking to anyone owning a Cirrus in Wisconsin. Or if you know of any fly-ins taking place in September that will host Cirrus aircraft I would like to know about it. Thank you.

The mounting system described by Bob Anderson with the versa true mount is great. You need only to supply a 10-32 AN stud and one ball with a center drilled hole rather than the dual holes.

Also, what would make the system relly nice is a single cannon plug type connector that incorporates all the wires in one harness.

It might be worth the $50 to join COPA to get on the Member Forum and do a search to see the 1001 previous attempts by memebrs.

Welcome

I would like to know more about your mounting system ideas. I have a few of my own, but so far have lacked the time and initiative to do something about it. My SR20 is in Wisconsin. I would be glad to cooperate at no charge and with no strings if your plans seem promising. You can send me a private message or email me at jknollenberg@pilotfinance.com.

Just a note: I will be displaying a new hardware for mounting Garmin 396 in the next several weeks. I am finished with prototype and we are building first 50pc. The versatrue is a part of the system.

I am guessing that the company that vtrue referred to in his post is VersaTrue. I would love to see a ready-made product that will hold a tablet PC, not just a GPS (I already have 2 of those mounted in the center stack). I know Bob came up with a solution, I just don’t have the time and inclination to cob something together similarly.
