On behalf of COPA, I apologize for any inconvenience anyone may have encountered using PayPal. We chose that service due to prior experience, cost and a perceived ease of use. Obviously, the ‘ease of use’ was a bad conclusion. We acknowledge that there have been some problems and we have started looking for alternatives.
Until then, if you encounter any problems, please bear with us. All of our volunteers are working extremely hard to get things up and running by our official kick off date of September 1. If you are concerned about the accuracy or reliability, please feel free to mail a check to the address on the web site for mailing in applications.
We are also working very hard to accomodate our overseas members, another problem with PayPal.
Lastly, my apologies for using this site for COPA business.

… I wonder what will happen to the activities on this site, will we have split discussions and/or monitor the respective forum on both sites ?
Thanks Clyde for setting up and running this site which allowed the Cirrusists (i.e. devoted hobbyists) to gather and form COPA.
Regards
Wilfried
Marty,
PayPal worked great for me. I’d never used them before.
Quit apologising. Using this site for COPA business couldn’t possibly offend anyone.
You COPA people rock!

The intention is to merge this forum into the public forum on the COPA site - I originally had a couple of reservations about that plan, but after seeing the great job Steve has done on the COPA site, my reservations have evaporated.

It would sure be nice if there was some way to incorporate the archives from this site in any merger. There really is alot of good info back there.

Merger or not, we’ll always be grateful to you, Clyde.
Clyde,
I stopped flying for ~8-9 years while starting a family and a career. When I decided to get going again, my wife - thinking of the rental spam cans she remembered all too well - suggested that I buy something new. I evaluated the options and was pricing a Cessna 182 when I found www.sr20.org . Wow, I could have a state-of-the-art airplane for less than the cost of a new Skylane! After a few months spent lurking on this forum I bought an SR20 position. I’ll be picking up SR22 S/N 91 in ~4 weeks.
It wouldn’t have happened without you and this web site. SR20.org is the core of my Internet usage; I check in 4-5 times a day. Thank you for providing this service to me, my family and all of the rest of us. Onward to COPA!
