Cirrus' share of the GA market

According to the AOPA, approximately 2800 new GA aircraft were delivered in 2000. 2001 is on pace to beat that.

My rough estimates… Let’s say 120 SR22’s in 2001 (note: this is just my guess based on no Cirrus input) and 250 SR20’s that’s 370 aircraft.

If all deliveries in GA total 3000 (includes planes like the Baron and the Meriden as well) that means Cirrus will have about 12-15% of the market minimum. Greater if you figure it as the market for pistons, greater still piston singles…
