Hi All,
What is the “going rate” of an annual for the Cirrus? Assuming nothing is wrong / needs to be fixed.
Thanks…
Rick

Rick:
My SC is quoting $1025.00 for a 22.
Good discussions in the member section on this important subject and other relevant subjects. We would welcome you over.

Airways at LNS (800-386–169) had a flat rate of $895 when I had my last annual in November. Adding an oil change/filter/oil analysis and a few small items brought the total to $1,112.89 including tax. There were a few small warranty items that got charged to Cirrus. I think they still have a flat rate but don’t know if it has changed.
Thanks Gang,
I wised up and contacted a local SC. Their flat rate is $1920.
Think I’ll call a different one…

Seriously? Flat rate?
Yup. Business Aviation at FSD. Check with Scott Barber 1-800-888-1646 ext. 106. I have been happy with them so far.

There’s flat rate, then there’s flat rate…
In my experience, the “flat rate” is just a jumping-off point. Reminds me of “Prices starting at…”
IIRC, Annuals for my Tiger were “flat rated” at $295. That was just the labor - even oil and filter were extra. I generally averaged closer to $1,000, and prepared for that. The most expensive one (involving a starter and a cylinder) was closer to $2,000. I thought of the flat rate as covering the INSPECTION - unfortunately Annuals often require REPAIR, which is extra.
Our planes are young enough that they shouldn’t need as much in repair, and those under warranty may come close to the flat rate.
Still, if your Annual coincides with a mag overhaul, for instance, plan on spending a LOT more than the flat rate.
David,
At the rate you mention I’ll schedule my annual in the fall at RAP.
