Accommodations in Duluth

Not so fortunate with CD but I guess the guy at Days Inn got tired of hearing me complain about the price and to shut me up he gave in.

I stayed in the Radisson Harborview for 6 days at the end of April (about $80 per night). The internet price was cheaper than the Cirrus discount price.

The hotel was fine - just like any other business hotel. The problem is Duluth itself… (I would spend as few days there as possible!).

Just an update. We checked into the Hawthorn Suites tonight.
The room is great if you don’t have claustrophobia. It’s an old warehouse converted into a hotel. Unfortunately, our room, like most, does not have any windows. It’s like hoteling IFR!

Life is a trade off. If I didn’t have the Goddess with me, I would have opted for the most economical room that was closest to Cirrus. EconoLodge?

Walt,

Bad luck maybe? My room at Hawthorne was great, had a view of the ship museum and harbor. Separate bedroom so you could close the door and get more sound insulation from the goings on in the hallways, etc.

By the way, I’ve got a couple of pictures of your plane on the ramp along with the six that were delivered on Monday. Too bad about the weather, can’t file IFR?

Paul

I didn’t want to file IFR for any of the segments back home. I want to become proficient using all the toys, uh tools before I get my head in the clouds. Can you email me the pictures? walter.gontowski@st.com
Sorry to hear about the battery problem.

Walt,

The pics are on the way.

Grazie, mille!

So did I. The Cantina in the mall across the street serves EXCELLENT homemade margaritas! (I recommend the 32 oz size [:)]!) I was there in late January, and extending my stay by two days due to mechanical probs with my new plane and weather delays in finishing my transition training was no hassle…

BTW, Mike, your post RE Cirrus integ. seems to have a set of typos that sends a mixed message. Perhaps some editing is in order…

And this from a self-proclaimed perfectionist!

Thanks, I’m in at the Days Inn. We will see.
