Feedback on Facilities in Duluth

Since I’m preparing for a nice frosty trip to Duluth in January, does anyone have any feedback on the training you received while there?

Did anyone stay for any extra training? If so, was it worth it?

How much free time in the evenings was there? was there anything to do? (Should I bring my wife?)

Any hotel recomendations?

Thanks

the training is well thought out and can be quick and painless if you get the training man. from wings aloft ahead of time.

there is no extra training “per say”, they will not sign you off until you are competent in the plane. on that note if you are not up to speed you will be charged for the extra time.

we trained from 8-5, so the eves are free, but you will be tired after training.

Any hotel recomendations?

fairfield in or comfort suites. rent a car while you are there, you will need it.

Thanks

I have been to the Cirrus plane three times. We stayed at the Fitger’s Inn the last two visits. It is a remodeled brewery and sits right on the shore of Lake Superior. It is downtown and very nice. It gives a great feeling to the visit and gets you down to the shore of the largest freshwater lake in the world.

Thanks
