A few questions for /  Advice needed from Cirrus owners

ah, but not yet by everybody [;)]

Thomas,

There are a number of 2003 and 2004 SR22s that are a good value at $150,000 to $200,000 that are safe and reliable airplanes. Less invested, less to depreciate and they all fly about the same. It seems like the significant difference in performance comes from the turbo models. Good luck. They are all good.

Lots of comments here pointing you to a G3, which is a good airplane, however the only real difference is the wings and ground clearance. The G3 and G2 perform identically. They have the exact same fuselage. The G3 does not have a rudder aileron interconnect, which is good, but means little. It does however carry an extra 11 gallons of fuel, but 81 gallons gives you about 6 hrs of flight time in a non turbo aircraft. Do you need 7? Unlikely. In my opinion the best value out there is the 2003-2006 SR22s. You can buy a nice one in the low 200’s. Now, in 2008 perspective avionics became available, which is similar to G1000. In 2009 Flight into Known icing became available. These are some real improvements and are in your price range. All else being equal, I wouldnt spend an extra 40-50k just to have a G3.
