Reservations made. See you all in Fall.
Scottsdale is only “baking hot” in July and August. Late September is merely moderately warm (by Phoenix standards). ![]()
I did some research. The average September high temp in Phoenix, through the month, varies from 102 to 96.
So, uh, scorching (by Duluth standards).
April in Phoenix is scorching by Duluth standards ![]()
September is a transition month temp wise - usually. What is happening in early to mid September is the monsoon season slows and then stops. Translation, TS’s stop and dew points plummet. The higher temps become more acceptable.
By late September it is usually dry, fairly high daytime highs (90’s are normal, low 100’s possible) and cool nights/mornings. You definitely do not want to hang in the sun in the afternoon unless you have a pool and a cold beverage. OTOH, golf in the am is outstanding. Depending on where you live this could be heaven or it could be hell.
All this assumes average Wx. And you know how Wx defies averages so often.
Tom - anything is scorching by Duluth standards.
Wait. The Migration hotel is in Arizona, not California, right?
C’mon-Roger was just thinking that to himself…perhaps on a Dark Desert Airway, somewhere…
