Printing the SR20 POH

For those that want to print the online POH from Cirrus’ website on paper here’s a quick tip to get it to print full size without those wasted half pages. You must have the full Adobe Acrobat however (the free Acrobat reader won’t do this.)

Pull up the PDF for the plane you want. http://www.cirrusdesign.com/submenus/subaircraft.htm

Then Click Document, then Crop Pages, then at the bottom of the box where it says Crop all pages in range, select Crop Odd Pages only. Select All Page range.

Change the left margin to 5.5" Click OK. After this is complete you’ll see the odd pages don’t have the white space any longer. Next go to Page 2, then repeat the process this time selecting Even Pages Only and change the right margin to 5.5" leaving the left margin alone.

Now you’ll see all of the pages without the side margins.

Next, click File then print. Make sure you choose Portrait orientation and the Fit To Page check box. This will make the existing page full size.

Voila. Remember this only works with the full Adobe Acrobat, not the free reader. If you don’t have the full Adobe Acrobat, you can still print out the document. You’ll need to print the Odd pages first, then print the even pages on the same paper as the odd. (Don’t put the first page in)

Hope this helps.

Derek:

Tried your technique - worked great! All of us squinty-eyed presbyopic aging boomers thank you very much.

Note that after you make the changes be sure and select File->Save so the changes are saved to disk.

An online printing house like www.mimeo.com could print and bind it perfectly, but this may violate the copyright so prior permission from Cirrus would probably be in order.
