Plane Holdings Inc

Just did a search on the N registration db

and alot of SR20s are registered to the

above company, who are they ?

Trying to decide whether to reserve a N

number or just go for potluck as to what Cirrus

allocates me.

If you want something special, go ahead and reserve it. I just did that a few weeks ago. It can be done right on the FAA web site, the $10 can be charged on a credit card, and I got my reply and reserved number in about 10 days.

A couple of SR20s flying in Europe (including mine) are registered through Plane Holdings. Due to the certification process not being completed in Europe (the JAR works in mysterious ways), the SR20 cannot be entered into any of the local PH-, F-, G-, D- etc registers. The US regulations do not allow foreign owners of US registered A/C (or airlines for that matter…), hence the title registration in the US through holding companies. All (to my knowledge at least) of us let the N reg as assigned by Cirrus continue. As a side effect it makes it easy to spot SR20’s on the European ATC airwaves.
