How exactly does it “smear”? It sounds more like a problem with your monitor.

I am also getting that “smear”. Thought it was either my computer or AOL becasue I have gotten it on other sites. Guess I now know its not at my end, but not being a computer type I cannot suggest what it doing it.

Clyde - It looks like someone took a wet rag and pulled it down over the print. At other times I get a doubling or tripling of whatever I am typing. I am also getting a script error message on the main site saying “null is undefined”. I’m just a pilot not an I.T. guy so I’m stumped except to blame it on Compuserve.

Clyde - It looks like someone took a wet rag and wiped it across page. I also see a doubling or tripling of what I am typing on the page. On the main site I am getting an error message saying “null is undefined”. I think compuserve is at fault.

That’s really weird. What computer/operating system are you using? Have you run a virus scan recently? do you see the behaviour when running anything else?

Hmm, curiouser and curiouser. I’m still baffled as to what it might be, but here’s a suggestion; the forum uses frames, but it is possible to open it up without the frame (won’t be as usable). With Netscape, you can right click in a frame (e.g the left hand panel with the threads) and select “Open Frame in New Window”. Try that (or the equivalent with your browser, if different) and see if it makes any difference. Come to that, what browser are you using?
