Osh Kosh, reflections on this site

A question and a comment:

  1. Are there currently any plans for a Cirrus Owners meeting (perhaps with refreshments) at Osh Kosh? Is there an interest? I’d certainly like to put some faces with the names I communicated with over the past several years.

  2. I don’t know about the rest of you, but this site has part of my daily life for several years. Prior to delivery of my SR20, (number #100), it was useful in helping me deal with something I’m not good at–delayed gratification. Post-delivery, it has been perhaps even more useful in communicating to discuss problems, and their resolution. I’m extremely grateful to Clyde for keeping it going.

  3. Clyde, I renew my offer to make a contribution to the financial upkeep of the site. Should you elect to suggest a voluntary contribution, and suggest an amount, I would be happy to contribute, as I am sure, would many others.

Best, Dave

    David,

You are so right! I keep up with several owner forums and this one is so different in tone and content - better.

I had to sell my 22 position a few weeks ago (don’t get old, guys) and still haven’t gotten totally over it. As an aside, since I wasn’t selling for financial reasons and didn’t want a premium, I actually got some hate mail for “screwing up the market for positions”.

Back to the ranch. You guys and gals have a really special thing going. Treasure your ability to fly, to afford and desire a Cirrus,

and treasure this forum.

Chuck

I will be there for sure, but undecided if I’ll fly 122KM in for the show. I’m uneasy with all the attention I’ve already drawn out of the hangar to put it on general public display. Last year Cirrus had a tent and refreshments for us to gather. Rick Kummerow

Rick,

I’ll be parking N84MR at Outagamie Airport, Appleton. Same reasons as yours.

Mike.
