The TAE - 110 Diesel Jet A engine is certified in Europe JAR.
It burns 33% of the amount of what a Lycoming 0-320 burns; 11 L/h (Jet A or Diesel) in stead of 33 L/h (100LL) (2.5 G/h versus 7 G/h). Same weight, same size.
The next step will be the TAE -125 wich will performe the same as a Lycoming O-360 / 180 hp
O-320 in ISA environment 87 hp at 2300 rpm, horizontal flight at 1700 ft MSL
TAE-125 in ISA environment 125 hp take off, 102 hp till 10.000 ft Due to the turbocomressor ! It also has a FADEC system, 3-blade prop, direct injection, (no mixture, single lever operation) . Weight 184 kg / 405 pounds

So why not put this baby in a SR125; same or better speed at 8000 ft, range 2400 nm ! 3000 hr TBO (actually Time Between Total replacement)
