At the risk of showing everyone how much I don’t know, here’s my question. Any day now (as soon as Arnav completes their software) the installation of the Arnav engine monitor will be completed on N2578B. How do I lean, compared to using the EGT? Hottest cylinder? (Bear in mind, three weeks ago I was flying a Warrior, which didn’t even have EGT for leaning.)
Pirep will follow on new Arnav unit!

Best Answer I can give is the same way. More specifically, go on to Avweb (it’s free - I think it is www.avweb.com) and read the "Pelican’s Perch collumn by Deakin. He has written exhaustively on the subject, and most recently answered an open letter from Lycoming on the subject. Once you read it, and maybe re-read it, you can make an informed decision about how you will run your engine and to interpet the information that the advanced engine monitors present.
Good luck. We’re all looking forward to the Pirep.
