Recently came across this story on prsonal helicopters. What a great way to get to the airport from my office, so that I can fly my Cirrus.

I was thinking exactly the same thing when I saw this helicopter fly at Oshkosh last weekend.

This looks GREAT! When they start selling them in the US will you organize a bulk buy? [H]

Pretty cool, but, uh, are they having a gross weight issue? I mean, it looks like the pilot isn’t wearing any pants!
Roswell,
Isn’t that the place where you already had some UFO’s ???
(ULtralight Flying Objects) [:)]

I don’t know about pants, but he wouldn’t be the last aviatior to loose his shirt over the “love of flying”

Its not a weight issue. He just didn’t have a spare pair after the preceding test flight [:D]
For anyone interested, here’s the URL to the company in Japan that’s bringing this little beauty to market: http://www.engineeringsystem.co.jp/genh4_en/. They assert it’ll be a $30k kit that takes 30-40 hrs to build and 3hrs to learn to fly.

I’ve been following this helicopter for about 6 years now…ever since I first saw the prototype in Rotorcraft magazine. It appears they are truly focused on getting the product right, rather than rushing to market.
