Under aircraft type you put SR20 or SR22 as the case may be.

Where does one find a master list for these? I’ve recently logged a King Air B350, but haven’t been able to find a definitive code for it.

Ah, the Super King Air! Love that machine! The designator is “B350”.

The whole list is available in the FAA’s Air Traffic Controller’s Handbook. You can find it on the AOPA web site. Lots of trivia answers there.

Here ya go: http://www.faa.gov/ATpubs/ATC/ATC.pdf

The designations are in Appendix A. You’ll note that there is no entry for Cirrus aircraft yet.

A common error for we Trinidad drivers is to use “TB20” instead of the correct designation: “TRIN”.

Hidden in its arsenal of paperwork is FAA Order 7340.1, which is the official source for all FAA Contractions & Designators. Chapter 5 has all the Aircraft Type Designators. Here is a link to the current edition:

Hope this is helpful!

A much better source! And more current. Thanks.
