Glad to see that no one was injured. I looked up N22ZP in the FAA database and was unable to find it. Interesting for a plane with 1700+ hours.

I think the rental plane formerly operated by Safe Flight at Page Field in Ft. Myers, FL was for sale, so perhaps the new buyers reregistered the plane with a new tail nr. Just idle speculation.

Marty,

I suspect the “Time” references in the NTSB report refer to the local time of the accident, not to the time on the airframe. Which leads me to wonder — whose SR2x has the highest number of hours on the airframe?

In any event, my condolences to the poor folks who bent the nose gear. It can happen to any airplane, alas. (It happened to me in a 1968 Cardinal some years ago. Put the poor thing out of its misery.)

Cheers,
Roger

With a serial number of 1193 this SR-20 is only a couple weeks old. What a shame. Glad everyone is OK.

DOH! You are (all) correct. The 1745 was the time of day.

As for the tail nr., Cirrus used it, but I still don’t know to whom it is currently registered.
