Got a call from CD (not the source referred to in the earlier posting) and had an opportunity to get clarification on the serial # assignment changes recently made. Yes, there will an (one) additional plane made available to the domestic sales force in the next few weeks; welcome news I think for most of us.
The really exciting news was that a second s/n (and place on the production line) was being made available for the SR22 conforming prototype! While still perhaps a year or more away from customer deliveries it is certainly an important milestone in the development process of the '22. As alluded to previously on this forum (though not confirmed by CD) I wouldn’t be surprised if the '22 shows up at OSH this summer.
