COPA Forums Dark Mode | Improvements / Changes

Updates have been made to improve our Dark Mode Theme and the Auto-Switching Behavior.

Please Navigate to the Following Page to update your settings:

https://forum.cirruspilots.org/my/preferences/interface

By default our forums are displayed in a “COPA Light” Theme. If this is your preference across all devices, No Changes are needed and you can close this message/Topic.

To make changes, There are Two(2) Methods of Switching to the “Dark Mode” Theme.

  • Indefinitely - Will stay the same based on the theme selected, regardless of OS/Device Settings

  • Automatically - The changes are based on the Users OS/Device settings.

Indefinitely...Steps to make changes

Step 1: Simply Select the Theme Preference (COPA Light, or COPA Dark)

Step 2: Click save.

Automatically

Step 1: Simply Select Enable Automatic Dark Mode Color Scheme

The Color Scheme Selected is Ignored… It will switch based on OS/Device settings .

Step 2: Click save.

Notes:
These updates are now apart of the CORE Forum software and should not require any updates in the future.

We apologize for the inconvieance.

Our Previous solution was a Customized Plug-in that was now out of date and was superseded by these changes.

Due to the nature of the Plug-in used, user preferences were not stored in our systems and were done so locally. This caused several issues that now should be resolved with this one time change.

Any questions please ask them there…

Please note, that some devices have their own “Auto” switching behavior on them based on time of day and/or Ambient Light Sensors.

If you Select Enable Automatic Dark Mode Color Scheme the COPA website will switch based on the Device Settings and could be different at different times of the day.

This is Normal behavior.
