Central America in a SR22

I am beginning research for an extended trip into Central America in my SR22. I have read Bruce Ravenel’s excellent Member Forum post on flying to Cabo, and AOPA’s International Flight Planning Guide, but I would also appreciate hearing from anyone who can direct me to other books, flight planning packages, and personal experiences of GA flying from Panama to Mexico.
