Does the avidyne have a seperate navigation data base from the garmins? I haven’t seen any info on updating the avidyne database. Larry.
Yes, it does have a separate database. It is “Jeppesen NavData” and is on a 28 day update cycle but you don’t have to update it that often, as it is a VFR-use device. See p. 34 in the Avidyne Pilots Guide. (Right-click here to download a zip file of the guide.)
