Hi Rick

Perfect! You can write the check out to me…All kidding aside, it’s a top 5 priority in the company.

So, Yes! We are actually to the point to flight test the 9.4 software and expect it to be done relatively soon. That software release will give you ADS-B out compatibility with our remote AXP322 transponder or the panel mount AXP340. Additionally, we are pedaling hard to get an ADS-B In solution (dual band) for you and all Cirrus by the end of the year. I feel very confident you’ll have ADS-B Out by the fall timeframe.

Then the next piece is internet based weather products. We are planning to have IFI (In Flight Internet) ready by Q2 next year. Very affordable hardware and subscription services.

I know it’s been a while, but we are gaining on it.

Mitch, welcome and thanks. Do you have any update on when the skytrax 100 will work with the MFD so those of us that don’t have skywatch or XM will be able to see ads-b traffic and weather on MFD? I’ve heard that it will be in the 8.2 version? Thanks.

Yep! Another top 5 company priority that should be done by end of year.

Mitch, so far you have enumerated 4 out of top 5 priorities. Which is the 5th one?

Where does PFD/MFD replacement stand as a priority?

Most likely the Robinson STC, I don’t think I mentioned that one. Not in the Top 5 for this year but we are actively scoping the program and part of the reason I have engaged this owner group. Like I mentioned before. It’s a 2 year program that will launch late this year or early next year. We have to clear the deck with some of these other deliverables to the market.

Good idea. I don’t think it’s the $… more the gesture and encouraging manufacturers participation.

Thanks!

Mitch, Jim and Michael are correct. You are missing most owners’ eyeballs and many will simply not post here even if they do see the posts.

I’d suggest putting future threads in one of the Avionics forums. (I could move this thread there if you’re so inclined and it’ll probably light up!)
