The perfect plane?

C’mon Cirrus and Lancair, give us:

Turbocharged SR22 (or Columbia 400) with known-ice. Make it an RG. All-electric. Garmin avionics including the real-time wx, and a couple of nice big screens including engine monitoring. Of course, make sure that chute is still there.

And hurry up, will ya?

Don’t forget the pressurization and the ultra quiet sound insulation package. Glass cockpit, TCAS. 1500nm range and 1500 pound payload. The other half would appreciate a toilet if possible too. Price reductions would be a plus.

Have a nice (and slightly silly) Cirrus/Lancair day!

What the heck let’s make it able to takeoff and land in 500 feet too.

All great ideas, hopefully coming soon to Cirrus! But in the meantime, the plane you are describing can be seen at www.eclipseaviation.com

This company was also described in detail in Jim Fallows excellent book.

Uh…other than the “price reduction” that is…

What the heck let’s make it able to takeoff and land in 500 feet too.

Hmmmm. That requirement sounds familiar…

Here’s an idea for Cirrus: Canards!
