About that spreadsheet…I received a Weight & Balance Excel Spreadsheet from Wings Aloft. I hate to carry around a Laptop and I wanted a quick way to do a W&B on the ramp. I modified their Excel Spreadsheet by adding “Buttons” to change the Weights for each station. The top button runs the weight up and the bottom button runs it down. NO TYPING REQUIRED and it works well. You can put it on a Palm type computer if it has the Excel program. Just use you stylus to quickly run a check. Make sure you change the empty weight to match yours. The protection is turned off, so I think you should “turn it on” after you change the aircraft weight. This way you cannot screw up the formulas.

If someone has the W&B for the SR20, I could do one for that also.

I use (and like) AV8R on my palm pilot. It costs ten bucks from http://www.visi.com/~dd/av8r/. I know, it’s a little spendy, but you can download a free demo version that works for 30 days.

It does all E6B functions plus W&B, and you can enter the specifics of a number of aircraft by tail number. If you enter the CG envelope as well, it can plot each loading graphically.
