SR20 Flight School / Retnal Rates???

Does anyone know if any flight schools in the US are offering the SR20 and, if so, what they are charging per hour? Any rental clubs offering the SR20 or 22 by the hour? What price?

Wonder if the SR20 would make a good a/c for a start up flight school in FLA?

$160 an hour in the Seattle area.

Could be good as a rental for licensed pilots but for brand new students it would be expensive compared to the other flight school fare. When you’re first learning to fly $80/hour versus $160 is a big deal. Also, because all the breakers and aux air are down at the pilots knees, it would make for some awkward pre-flight training.

A serious consideration is that most of the CFIs in the world are trying to accumulate hours toward the left seat of a commercial airliner and the Cirrus is neither high performance nor complex.

I’m sure that if the market is large in FLA that there will be enough students who can afford to train in a Cirrus to make it work.
