Does anyone have any firsthand knowledge about “Skywatch” from Goodrich? Will it work with the ARNAV? Now or later? Does anyone know if CD plans to offer it as an option? MIKE#396

I’ve talked to Cirrus, Arnav, BFGoodrich and Ryan recntly. Here are the answers:

ARNAV: We are working on interfaces for both Ryan and BFG Skywatch, Ryan having priority. Expect end of the year.

BFG: We are working with Cirrus on a solution which allows Skywatch to be displayed on the Garmins.

RYAN: The active (interrogating) 9900 model is not yet certified, but will be soon. The passive model is certified and can be upgraded to active later. We are working with Arnav.

CIRRUS: We are waiting for ARNAV. In the meantime, we are working with BFG on a solution to display the Skywatch on the no. 2 Garmin. The problem is the antenna placement. As soon as he have found the best antenna position, we’ll offer an upgrade kit. Q: Sun’n Fun? A: not very likely, expect end of 2nd quarter. Q: Oshkosh? A: likely.

BFG: We are working with Cirrus on a solution which allows Skywatch to be displayed on the Garmins.

Any time table on when they might interface skywatch with Garmin. And is that both for
the 430 and 530 models.
