so you use 80 even though you have the ‘flare at the last minute’ technique down. Do you find you float at that speed? Many other people here have pointed out that 1.3Vso is a lot less than 80kts especially at less than max gross.
Sounds like you have absolutely the correct technique, and I sure understand what you mean about feeling like you’re driving it right into the pavement, the mooneys always feel the same. If it’s working I’d be hesitant to say change it, but you might want to read some of the posts about approach speeds and see if you want to try it a little slower.
