How to mute the hot section

I muted the hot section but it’s still showing up in my latest with a number of new posts. Is there something that I’m missing?

Go to preferences:

Categories
Remove Hot section from Tracked(if there)
Add hot section to Muted.
Click save.

If that doesn’t work, or if its already like that. Topics that you were already “tracking” in the hotsection will remain tracked, even if you have this setting. You will have to go to the Topics and remove the tracking.

You can also do this using the Unread Screen Dismiss option and it will ask if you want to no longer track these Topics/threads.

This will stop tracking all the Topics/Threads in the unread screen.
