I’ve been working on a small aviation site for some time, mostly as a hobby to get a home page that always has my weather when I visit it. It started out as a page of links but now provides METAR/TAF data etc. I thought some might find it useful.
Plans are afoot to include, navigation logs, airport/navaid/fix info, route mapping and more as ideas surface. Let me know what you think, and if you have any suggestions I’d like to hear them.
A week earlier or so I posted some information about a site I’ve been working on. I’ve now expanded it to include Winds & Temp. and a Google Maps interface that will plot the identifiers and weather. I’m looking for feedback and suggestions, especially for the mapping portion.
One of the wonderful feature the RVweather site provided was a route-based NOTAM list. I don’t know what database they pulled them from or how they parsed them, but they did an excellent job of finding relevant NOTAM’s. Cracking the NOTAM nut would be a huge advance.
What do you mean by GRIDDED sectionals? I am planning to integrate the merged FAA sectionals (the scanned in versions of the paper sectionals) onto the map, if that’s what you mean.

Gridded charts take the lat/long and creat ‘grids’ across sectionals. This allows defining areas by grid (A/1 etc).
Got it… As soon as I get the Lambert to Mercator warping done, I’ll see about trying to layer information on top of maps without using individual layers, similar to the Hybrid view. It would nice to have all METAR/TAF/wind/radar data available as a map type, in addition to things like grids.
