From time to time, I see and hear ads from such organizations as Salvation Army wanting cars for donation. Does anyone know if that also applies to used aircraft? Are there any non-profit organizations which take aircraft as donation, resell them with proceeds to charity?

There seem to be plenty of outfits that do this. Just do a Google search for the phrase “donate your aircraft” and you’ll find quite a few.
An important caveat: Before doing this, I would investigate to see how much of the cash value of your donation actually goes to charity and how much is taken by the firm that accepts your vehicle.
