about 2 months ago my wife insisted that I get an anti-collision device installed. I tried two different types one called an monroy atd/300 and another called a trafficscope vrx. I first tried the atd and didn’t find it very useful. Maybe it was me but it flashed all sorts of different numbers in what seemed like a random pattern. I traded it in on a trafficscope and saw a very different picture. The traffic it pointed out was very consistent with what I could locate visually, as well as with air traffic control acknowledgements. Last week I had the box installed with two antennas (top/bottom) and I can’t say enough about how much this has improved my awareness of other aircraft. I wanted to make a post to let others know that if you are looking for some affordable collision avoidance equipment, that this device works pretty well.
