Cirrus SR22 G3TN ARC parts issue

Hello fellow COPA members,

I am reaching out with an urgent request regarding spare parts for our Cirrus SR-22 G3 Turbo Normalized.

Our aircraft is currently grounded because the Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC) cannot be renewed without replacement of specific V-band clamps. Unfortunately, Tornado Alley (TAT) is unable to supply these parts at the moment.

The required parts are:

  • 2 ea P/N: 11-1100023, V-Band clamp
  • 2 ea P/N: 9956T-0339, V-Band clamp

We would be extremely grateful if anyone in the community could assist us in sourcing these clamps – whether through available stock, alternative suppliers, or even possible leads to other operators who may have spares.

This issue currently grounds not only our aircraft but potentially others as well, so any help or advice from the COPA community is highly appreciated.

Hi @Henri_Kurz - you may have seen there are several threads on this issue that may provide more context to you.

Hope you can find what you’re looking for.

Henri,

Welcome to COPA. Strongly suggest joining as a member to get access to the thread posted above as well as all of the other resources and knowledge COPA has to provide.

You only need two clamps: p/n 11-1100023. The other one you listed (IIRC) is the v-band clamp for the Bonanza.

Unfortunately these clamps are still harder to find than some rare earth metals. I haven’t seen any updates from TATI that they have them in stock.

Missed this was a Guest question. Thanks @hanstb!

@Henri_Kurz I’m late to the party, and hopefully you’ve already got some resolution on this. In the event you haven’t, or someone else is in the same situation - I spoke with Tornado Alley about two weeks ago. They are working on an alternate part and are awaiting approval, which they expect to have within the next 4-6 weeks.

Hello Derek,
That are great news. Unfortunately my plane is grounded since September due to the required parts (as written)

Hopefully that alternative parts are approved for the Cirrus SR22 GT3 TN

@Derek_Ingersoll could you please keep me updated?
For me lining in Germany, it is a little bit tricky to get new updates about this topic.
Thank you
