Does anyone know how often Arnav comes out with updateds software? Do they have a subscription service? I noticed on my Arnav some Class B airspaces have the wrong altitudes in my area (LAX Class B) even though my Garmin has the most recent updates and the proper airspaces in its database. I thought the Arnav took all that info from the Garmin.

I believe the Arnav only gets the GPS position from the Garmins. All data like airspace, airports, obstructions, etc. are from the Arnav internal database.
I asked Arnav once about the database cost. I was told that each individual update was on the order of $250 or so. I forget the exact amount.
I also forget the cost of the subscription (I’m not very helpful, am I?) but remember that it was more expensive than the dual Garmin Skybound subscription. Or was at least about the same cost – in any case, I couldn’t justify it for myself.
I was told that the engine monitoring upgrade would also upgrade the database (I guess the OS and the data are on the same card?) but I haven’t yet verified that first-hand.
