I just got 254CD back from it second annual (6 weeks). I delivered the plane on Dec 1. Came back Dec 15 and while flying the ferry pilot back I noticed ALT 2 yellow light wouldn’t go out and the EGT would not respond to mixture changes. I landed at my home airport and let the ferry pilot take the plane back to the service center. Plane came back on Dec 31 (without the replacement cowling from Cirrus which did not fit (it seems that back when our plane was made the parts were not standardized)). I got in started the plane and the ALT 2 light was on steady. I told the ferry pilot to take it back and next time don’t bother delivering it if everything does not check out. I got the plane back Jan 8. Everything worked long enough to get the ferry pilot back to his home base and me back to mine.
